Pass-through RJ45 connectors have a bad reputation thanks to early designs that didn’t support HDBaseT video or PoE voltage. Platinum Tools’ patented ezEX RJ45 connectors solve the design limitations that plague other pass-throughs, ensuring fast and reliable terminations, clean voltage delivery and high data bandwidth on every installation.
Most pass-through RJ45 connectors have two fatal flaws that render them problematic in the field. First, traditional connectors rely on a straight alignment RJ45 conductor path. This isn’t a problem with the small conductors inside Cat5 and Cat6 cables; however, voltage crosstalk can occur within the thicker conductors in Cat6A, Cat7 and most other shielded RJ45s.
ezEX connectors solve this problem by staggering the conductor wire path in a patented Hi-Lo pattern.
Second, the connector and crimp tool design for traditional pass-through RJ45s doesn’t always trim the conductors flush during termination, allowing for voltage bleed across strands. ezEX connectors solve this problem with a patented internal support system, ensuring perfectly flush cuts and signal integrity.
